Narrator: Ready to compete for her place on one of the coaches' teams is 34-year-old Toni Warne, who has been waiting years to be judged on her voice and not her appearance.
Toni: My name's Toni. I'm 34 and I work in a bank in Great Yarmouth.
I've always gigged: bars, clubs, pubs, cabaret. That was pretty much my work.
I've suffered with alopecia since I was a young girl, but then at 21, I lost all my hair completely. And it had quite an impact on me. You sort of... you sort of lose your confidence, there's no question about it.
I didn't think that I could gig the way that I am. And I got a nine-to-five job.
Bank staff: 987 please. Did you just put that in my wallet? No.
Toni: This feels right because it's called The Voice. It's not about having to cover up.
Jason: Just to be herself, I know that she will feel comfortable with that. Especially the fact that she's not going to feel judged with the way she looks initially. That she's going to go out, she's going to sing amazing, and then they're going to turn around and then they're going to be knocked out.
Toni: It's time now for me to sing. And if they turn their chairs around, of course it would be the most amazing possible thing.
I'm looking forward to walking on stage and being me for the first time ever, really. Feels good.
Toni (singing): Well, I'm here just like I said. Though it's breaking every rule I've ever made. My racing heart is just the same. Why make it strong to break it once again? Mmm.
Danny: She's good.
Toni (singing): And I'd love to say I do give everything to you. But I can never now be true. So I say...
Jessie J: What you looking at me for?
Jason: Come on. Come on, just turn around.
Toni (singing): I think I'd better leave right now. I'm feeling weaker and weaker. Somebody better show me how before I fall any deeper.
I think I'd better leave right now.
You may never know why when it's twice as shy. If I'm proud, perhaps I should explain. I couldn't bear to lose you...
Jason: Hit the button, Jessie! Come on! Hit the button, Jessie! You can do it!
Toni (singing): I think I'd better leave right now. I'm feeling weaker and weaker. Somebody better show me how...
Friend: Yeah!
Toni (singing): ...before I fall any deeper. I think I'd better leave right now. Yeah!
Jessie J: Before I ask your name and why you're so amazing, you and your little tactics. Did you see them? You're like, "You should press the button. You!"
And then I turn around and there you both are with...
Danny: Hello, Jessie. Hello.
will.i.am: Who would it be, ladies?
Toni: Who pressed the button? It's fine!
Jessie J: What is your name?
Toni: Toni.
Jessie J: Toni. And what is your inspiration, Toni?
Toni: I sung for a living. I'd suffered with alopecia since I was a little girl, but I lost all of my hair and it really, really just knocked the stuffing out of me, really, you know? And I felt that I couldn't pursue what was in my heart because I didn't believe in myself.
The last couple of years I've had two beautiful, beautiful children and sort of you realize that life's short, you know? And music is my absolute passion beyond passion.
Danny: I'm blown away. I thought you have an old soul. You know, as I was listening to you, I can tell you've been through something. I can tell you've been through pain. I can tell you've been through the... through the wars. And that's what really moved me emotionally to... to hit my button. But if you pick me, honestly, I would fight till the death for you because I think you're fantastic. You're amazing.
Jessie J: But Toni's so old school, um, that I feel like you could teach me something. And I love the fact that you didn't go...
Jessie J (singing): ...whoa-oh-oh...
Jessie J: ...right at the beginning. You went and you let it grow, and that was what made me fall in love with your voice. So please, please, please let's hang out and make music and have fun.
Tom Jones: You... you're what I call a real singer. You know, I mean, you are a real, real singer. You sound fantastic.
Toni: I'm just over... I can't tell you how overwhelmed I am. This is just unbelievable. Thank you.
Danny: You deserve it. You deserve it. You deserve it. You deserve it.
You've got creative control, it's all up to you. Just, uh, know the right person's over here and he's Irish.
Toni: Four years ago, somebody said to me, "Check this out, Toni. Listen, you're not going to believe what you hear." And I heard Jessie J for the first time and I am telling you, Jessie, I would love to choose you.
Jessie J: I'm so excited! Oh, I'm so excited!
Toni: I said I wouldn't cry.
