Everybody likes an adventure. They are fun! They make stories fun, too.
Fairy tales are stories with adventures. They also have magic.
Every good fairy tale has a problem. Something bad has to happen. It looks like it will go wrong!
There might be an enemy. An enemy is somebody that is bad.
It could be something scary. It could be a goblin. It could be an animal. It might put a curse on someone.
But then there is a solution to the problem. Everyone is okay in the end.
Here is a famous fairy tale. One day, Little Red Riding Hood was going to her grandmother's house. On her way, she met the Big Bad Wolf. "Where are you going, little girl?" he asked. "I'm going to my grandmother's house," she said.
She kept walking. The wolf wanted to catch her. The wolf ran to Grandma's house. He put on Grandma's clothes and waited for her.
She knocked on the door. She came in. "Grandma, what big ears you have!" she said "All the better to hear you with!" said the wolf.
"But Grandma, what big hands you have!" she said. "All the better to hug you with!" said the wolf.
"And Grandma, what big teeth you have!" she said. "All the better...to eat you with!" said the wolf.
Just then, a hunter passed by the house. He heard screams. He came in and scared the wolf away. Little Red Riding Hood was free. Everything was okay in the end.
There are lots of fun fairy tales. What is your favourite?
