Boy: Welcome to the Empire State Building!
Wow, look! We are so high!
Girl: This morning we're heading to the Empire State Building!
Boy: The Empire State Building was built in 1931 and it was built in a race to be the world's tallest building.
Girl: We're going to take an elevator all the way to the top! 102 floors, I'd say.
Boy: We got the tickets and this is going to be so fun!
Man: The ticket to the top gets you to the 102nd floor, the 82nd floor, and the museum.
Boy: This entire building was finished in 405 days. They were in a race to try to be the world's tallest building. And they won!
They're making it look like King Kong is still climbing the building because there was a movie about it.
Man: Today about 16,000 people work in the Empire State Building. It has restaurants, fitness center, and all the amenities.
Girl: Let's go to the tower!
Elevator voice: We go out to the lights inside and keep your eyes open. See those hot rivets fly through the air? Whoa! Nice catch, Lou! Get those planks out of the way, huh? Boy, those are some big ones, Sam! We got a big one at the bottom!
Hey fellas, watch the top! What are you talking about? Hey Bucky, you're gonna ride that thing all day? All right, we're coming up to the 80th floor. We're headed to the top of the Empire State Building right here in the heart of New York City.
Girl: We're stopped at the 80th floor. Look at the view!
Man: Wow!
Boy: Wow! We're above all the rooftops! We're above everything! Yeah! There's Macy's, we were just down there.
I can see One World Trade Center and Statue of Liberty.
Girl: Next up, elevator to the 86th floor.
Elevator voice: Watch out guys, 86 open-air deck awaits you.
Man: Okay, you ready for this? Are you nervous?
Girl: Yeah.
Wow!
Boy: On a clear day here on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building, you can actually see six states: Pennsylvania, New York, obviously, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Delaware.
From this angle you can see the Chrysler Building, which was one of the two buildings competing to be the world's tallest building.
Next stop, we're going up to the 102nd floor, which is as high as you can go.
Man: Oh boy, it's a glass elevator.
Girl: Uh oh.
Man: My legs are jelly or anything. My stomach just dropped. Don't look.
Elevator voice: Holy cow! Welcome everyone, please exit out this way and enjoy your visit.
Boy: Wow, look! We are so high!
Wow! You can see the deck!
Girl: Going down! Hope you enjoyed this video! Bye!
Attendant: Hi. This way.
Boy: Thank you.
We're walking down steps from the observatory at the Empire State Building. Here we go.
Every year they have a marathon here where you get to run up the stairs all the way to the 102nd floor.
Girl: How do you know that?
Elevator voice: Thank you.
