What do you want to be when you grow up? What kind of career do you want to have? What kind of work do you want to do?
There are some people who work in an office. There are some people who work outdoors. There are some people who work with people. There are some people who work with animals. There are some people who work with computers. There are some people who work in space. There are many choices for your future occupation.
Do you like using your brain to think of new ideas? You might enjoy being a business owner. You could have many employees working for you. You could be the leader of a group or company. One day, you could even become the leader of a country. Maybe you prefer to be an employee and work for a company. You have a lot of choices to think about.
Do you like making or designing things? Maybe you would enjoy engineering. You could design a new kind of car or machine. There are many things that an engineer can do.
Do you like being creative and making things? Maybe you would enjoy being an architect. You could draw buildings and help them get built. You can walk around a town and look at the architecture you designed. You can design your own home, too.
Do you like working with people? You could work in a school, a hospital, or an office. You could help to find careers for others, too. You can help people practice how to do an interview. You can help people write their résumés. You can help them find their dream job.
If you can't decide what career you want, don't worry. You have plenty of time to decide. Some people have more than one career. Some people change careers often. Some people work and study at the same time. They take courses to get a better or different job. Some people complete courses to increase their salary. Would you like to work and study at the same time?
When I was little I wanted to be a dancer. Now I want to be a pilot. That is my dream job. I have to study a lot and practice, but I can do it. Once I am a pilot I can explore the world. After retirement, I can buy a small plane and fly around the world. What careers interest you the most?
